Our most popular camping sites sit in the woods along Harbin Creek, which is a dramatic force during the rainy season, but calms to a pleasant stream throughout the summer. Raised camping decks dot the area, but most visitors choose to set up camp on Mother Earth. (Sorry, we do not rent camping equipment.) Parking, flush toilets, sinks and an outdoor shower with warm water are available in the area. The mainside pool area is approximately 10 minutes away via a peaceful walk through the woods. No reservations needed.
Sleeping Bag Deck
During the dryer summer months, the mainside sleeping bag deck is a popular option. Located just steps from the pool area, this raised wooden deck provides incredible star-gazing from the comfort of your own sleeping bag. (Tents are not allowed here.) Campers here use the pool-area restrooms and showers. Spots are available on a first-come basis; no reservation needed.
Perfect for those who want a camping experience without the hassle of setting up their own tent, Harbin’s tent cabins are reserved in advance by phone, just like other lodging. Many Harbin tent cabins are double-wall style by Pacific Domes. You must bring your own bedding and towels. Choose from the lower tent cabins near the Meadow camping area (children allowed), or the upper tent cabins (adults only), which include access to the nearby Domes facilities.
