Massage and other health treatments available at Harbin focus on touch from a place of love and respect. Our practitioners have been carefully screened and selected for their skill in the art of healing. For many of them, massage is not only a profession, but also a spiritual practice.
This distinction brings a dimension and purpose to each and every treatment... one that you will rarely find at a typical "spa" or "resort." Perhaps it is the reason why so many guests consider their sessions to be the highlight of their visit to our retreat center.
We offer a variety of modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu, Cranio-Sacral Balancing, and Harbin's own Watsu® (Water Shiatsu) in one of our warm pools. Additional services often include Lymphatic massage, Thai massage, Hot Stones Massage, Amanae, Energy Work, Facials, Wraps, Bodywork or Watsu® instruction for couples, and more. Summer guests will be glad to hear that we've added air conditioning to our Redwood Building massage rooms, so you can receive your treatment in comfort throughout the year.

Bodywork or Watsu® Instruction for Couples
Bodywork or Watsu® Instruction is an opportunity for you and your partner to actually experience giving loving, therapeutic touch to each other. Under the careful tutelage of an instructor, enjoy a private 1 1/2-hour session devoted to one of the following modalities of your choice: Massage, Shiatsu, Energy Work, or Watsu®. Appointments
You may make an appointment by phoning or visiting the Health
Services office between 8:30 AM and 7 PM. We suggest that you
call us ahead of time, to help assure the availability of the
treatment of your choice at a convenient time. (If you are interested
in visiting us for a massage or Watsu® without using Harbin's
guest facilities, please call us for details.)
Prepayment is necessary to reserve your time, so please have a
credit card number ready when you phone, or payment ready when
scheduling in person.
Cancellation or Rescheduling: Massage appointment cancellation or rescheduling must be done 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time to avoid charges. Cancellation or rescheduling must be done by contacting the Health Services office independently from your room reservation cancellation or rescheduling. (Room reservation phone numbers are at the bottom of this page.)
