Massage

A full-body massage with Swedish/ Esalen flavor relaxes the body, improves muscle tone and provides a feeling of well-being. It may incorporate deep work, rebalancing and Eastern influences according to the practitioner's style and tailored to your individual needs.

Watsu® (water shiatsu)
An aquatic massage - developed here at Harbin - combines stretches of Zen Shiatsu and the element of water to an extraordinary experience. Being gently floated and stretched in a warm pool can be deeply touching and relaxing.

Deep Tissue
More specific than the general massage this work focuses on your problem areas. It is excellent for eliminating tension from your body, reducing tightness and muscle pain. It also realigns the body and frees your movement through myofascia work.

Amanae®
During this emotional-release bodywork, specific doorways are opened in the tissue of the body, allowing the release of deeply held emotion or trauma. A simple breathing technique assists you in shifting the disharmony out of the body. The process can free you to be and to express your authentic self. (Not a massage.)

Aquatic Energy Work
AEW brings the principles of Energy Work into the flow of aquatic bodywork such as Watsu®, WaterDance or Healing Dance. While being held and gently moved and stretched in water, the practitioner locates and facilitates the movement or release of energetic constrictions that are ready for change and support a space that can help awaken you to a deeper understanding of your growth and healing process.

Bodywork Instruction for Couples
Learning to share unconditional, therapeutic touch is a great way to bring people closer together. Bodywork Instruction for couple provide a safe and supervised space where your instructor will guide you through the element of presence and techniques (Massage, Shiatsu, Energy Work or Watsu®) that are appropriate to your level of experience as well as to the needs of your friend who is receiving from you. You will be guided with instruction, feedback, and encouragement during more than a half hour, then you and your friend will trade roles: the giver will receive and the receiver will give with the support and guidance of attentive and personal coaching. To find out more about the different type of bodywork, please see the specific description of Massage, Shiatsu, Energy Work and Watsu®.

Cranio-Sacral Balancing
This technique is extremely gentle, non-intrusive, yet very specific. The CS practitioner's attention is on the cranio-sacral rhythm, a very subtle movement, and light touch is applied on the cranial bones, the sacrum and at the interconnected membranes. After a session you will feel deeply relaxed and balanced.

Embodiment Session
In an Embodiment session, you'll experience how you can enjoy more of virtually everything you want, with simple 30-second practices of breathing, movement, energy, awareness, self-touch, and more. Learn to relax, get looser, go deeper, expand your spirit, feel more peace....anywhere and any time, using nothing more than your own body and your conscious awareness.

Energy Work
Also called "Subtle Therapy," Energy Healing" or "Core Healing." Energy Work covers a variety of healing approaches, making use of the energy field surrounding and penetrating your body to bring about deep relaxation, while mobilizing your system's capacity for self healing.

Fluidics
Fluidics is deep massage in warm water. It combines Watsu®, Healing Dance and/or Waterdance with a variety of traditionally land-based bodywork techniques, to produce an aquatic bodywork session that is nurturing, deeply relaxing, and specifically therapeutic.

Foot Reflexology
This dynamic, ancient healing art and science addresses the vital energy (ch'i) in the body. The focus is to stimulate and clear congestions in the meridians, allowing the energy to flow freely so that the body can achieve a state of balance. This self-healing process is facilitated by specific acupressure and massage techniques applied to the major reflex points and meridians on the feet.

Hot Stones Massage
A soothing and relaxing full-body massage that uses smooth, heated volcanic stones. The hot stones penetrate deep into the tissue, transmitting heat and energy as you receive long, flowing strokes. The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hands, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.

Hypno-Massage
Hypno-Massage (Integrated Body Work) is a new massage modality integrating massage (Swedish – Esalen – Trager – joint manipulation) with gentle and effective techniques and suggestions derived from Hypnotherapy and NLP. This process provides a profound de-conditioning experience that the client can continue to practice in everyday life. The complete Hypno-Massage process consisting of sessions Phase One to Phase Three ultimately aims to assist the client to gradually shift identification with body/mind to being identified as a presence of awareness/consciousness/love.

Lymphatic Massage
This is a highly effective technique for purifying and rejuvenating the body by stimulating the lymph drainage system. It helps flushing out toxins and activating the immune system. You will feel relieved from stress and refreshed.

Our Personal Retreat Services offers a brief assessment interview, followed by a relaxing bodywork session in water or on land. You and your guide will create a custom retreat plan that fits your physical, emotional and energetic goals. Specific recommendations may include bodywork modalities, use of spring waters, movement options (yoga, hikes, dance), and the coordination of meditation and rest. Private Hatha Yoga
Integrating body and mind, yoga expands your flexibility through movement, breath and meditation. The yoga teacher will design an individual session for you, and assist you gently, hands on, with Hatha Yoga postures.

Shiatsu
Shiatsu means "finger pressure" in Japanese. Using a series of techniques practitioners apply rhythmic finger pressure at specific points on the body in order to stimulate chi (vital energy), and stretches to release blockages on the body's energy ways (meridians).

Trager
What could be softer, lighter and freer? The practitioner hooks up to a state of oneness, and – using holding, lengthening, compressing, rocking, shaking and jiggling – gently helps your mind relax, your body let go of tension and pain and your being re-experience its natural state of peace.

Water Dance
This is an advanced Watsu® technique in which the receiver is wearing a nose plug and is guided under water. Elements of Aikido, rocking, dolphin movements are combined into a beautiful dance. Sequences above and below the water change rhythmically depending on breathing capacity. Deep states of relaxation and meditation may occur. We recommend that you experience a Watsu® before receiving Water Dance
